Thomas G. Skinner of Hertford, N.C., was a state legislator, United States Congressman, and lieutenant in the Confederate army. The collection is two autograph albums, dated 29 March 1859 and 1858-1861, compiled while Skinner was attending the University of North Carolina containing autographs and slight other data concerning fellow students.
